Her Story

About Gianna

Gianna Fusco is a Regional Director in multi-site healthcare and medical aesthetics operations, recognized for her leadership in driving revenue growth, elevating patient experience, and building high-performing clinical teams across multiple markets. She brings a well-rounded background that bridges bedside nursing, healthcare administration, and commercial leadership, with a consistent focus on aligning clinical excellence with strong operational performance and sustainable business growth.

Her healthcare career began in 2011 as a Registered Nurse on a pediatric hospital floor, where she developed a strong foundation in patient advocacy and hands-on care. While deeply committed to bedside nursing, she became increasingly aware of systemic barriers within healthcare, particularly insurance limitations that often delayed or restricted patient access to care. Seeking a more direct and meaningful impact, she transitioned into the wellness and fitness space with Equinox in New York City, where she started at the front desk and worked in early-morning and overnight operations. Her dedication and work ethic led to a transition into sales under the mentorship of Chris Busiak, where she discovered a natural ability to connect clients with solutions that improved confidence, wellness, and overall quality of life.

From there, she relocated to Southern California and joined LaserAway, where she spent nearly six years leading the Carlsbad clinic and gaining extensive experience in medical aesthetics operations and team leadership. She was later recruited by the co-CEOs of Genesis Lifestyle Medicine, Brent and Alex Vinson, and ultimately embraced the opportunity to expand her leadership scope. Relocating to Dallas, Texas, she played a key role in opening and scaling four clinics before advancing into her current regional leadership role. Today, she oversees 12 clinics across the Central and East Coast regions, focusing on developing leaders, strengthening operations, and expanding access to high-quality aesthetic care. Her work is centered on building confidence in patients while cultivating strong, growth-oriented teams across the organization.

Ten minutes with Gianna

01What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to the strong foundation I was raised with and the people who have supported and challenged me throughout my journey. My parents instilled in me a deep work ethic and the belief that anything is possible through consistency and perseverance, especially my father, who built his own company from the ground up after serving in the Air Force and showed me what dedication and resilience truly look like. Growing up in that environment, alongside a brother who is also an entrepreneur, reinforced the importance of dreaming big while staying disciplined and committed to the work required to achieve those goals. Equally influential has been my husband, who encouraged me to step outside of my comfort zone and recognize strengths in myself that I did not always see, giving me the confidence to take risks and pursue opportunities I may have otherwise hesitated to explore. His support, combined with the values instilled in me from childhood, helped me realize that growth comes from belief, action, and surrounding yourself with people who challenge and uplift you, and that combination has been central to both my personal and professional success.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best career advice I’ve ever received came from my dad, Steven Spinoso, who consistently guided me to make decisions rooted in long-term growth and opportunity. While I once considered a path in education, he encouraged me to explore the medical field instead, not because of his own background, but because he believed in positioning me for a career with strong potential and stability. He always emphasized dreaming big and pursuing anything I was passionate about, while also building a strong foundation for success. My mom, Natalie Spinoso, has also been a constant source of support throughout my personal and professional journey, reinforcing the importance of perseverance and self-belief. In addition, my husband, Mike Fusco, has played a pivotal role in helping me recognize my own capabilities, especially in moments of self-doubt, reminding me that I was already aligned with the women I admired and encouraging me to take bold steps forward. Together, their guidance has taught me to trust myself, embrace challenges, and surround myself with people who push me to grow into the best version of myself.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

My advice to young women entering this industry is to trust your instincts and learn to move with confidence, even when things feel uncertain. In my experience, your gut is often your strongest guide if something doesn’t feel right, it usually isn’t, and if an opportunity feels aligned, it’s worth exploring. Confidence is rarely something you have before you start; it’s something you build through action. Don’t wait until you feel fully ready, because growth happens when you step forward anyway, even with doubt present. This industry, like many others, can be challenging and at times unsupportive, so it’s important to learn how to celebrate your own progress, stay focused on your goals, and not be discouraged by external opinions. Surround yourself with people who genuinely support your growth, take ownership of your decisions, and understand that setbacks and criticism are often part of moving forward. Above all, bet on yourself, stay true to your vision, and keep showing up—because the opportunities come to those who are willing to take the first step.

04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

I’m incredibly energized by the opportunities ahead in my current work and the broader direction the industry is moving toward. There is a growing demand for solutions that blend personalization, technology, and lifestyle enhancement in a way that is both practical and empowering. I’ve always had a strong passion for fashion and interior design, and through years of naturally helping others refine their style and spaces, I’ve seen firsthand how impactful thoughtful guidance can be in building confidence and improving everyday life. This has inspired me to begin developing Make Them Look, a concept that focuses on helping individuals maximize what they already own whether in their wardrobe or their home rather than relying on constant new purchases. The vision is to create a platform that uses technology to offer personalized recommendations based on body type and existing clothing, while also extending into accessible interior design solutions that elevate comfort and aesthetics on a realistic budget. Ultimately, I see this space as a powerful opportunity to combine creativity and innovation in a way that helps people feel more confident, comfortable, and expressive in both how they present themselves and how they live.

05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

Integrity is the value that guides me most in both my work and personal life, because I believe your word should be your bond. When I commit to something, I follow through and make sure I close the loop with every person involved, so no one is left feeling unsupported or uncertain about the outcome. To me, leaving situations unresolved is not just a professional gap, but a disservice in how we treat people. I place a strong emphasis on accountability, clear communication, and ensuring that every interaction has proper closure whether the outcome is success or a pivot in direction. Just as important is the ability to adapt when needed, finding alternative paths when challenges arise while still honoring the commitment to move things forward. Ultimately, I value creating an environment where people feel respected, heard, and supported throughout every step of the process.
