She earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Illustration, with concentrations in textile and product design, from the Academy of Art University, where she developed expertise in Adobe Creative Suite, color theory, textile pattern development, and merchandise design. Her creative portfolio includes apparel, collectible products, accessories, and illustrations, reflecting a strong foundation in both artistic storytelling and commercial design.

Throughout her career, Gina has built a diverse professional background spanning illustration, graphic design, photography editing, product development, and creative entertainment. She has contributed to creative projects through the Disney College Program and as a Creative Design Intern with The Walt Disney Company, collaborating on concept art, illustrations, and visual designs for multiple departments. In addition to her Disney experience, she works as a freelance illustrator for Serenity Studios and as a photographic editor for Ember Ryane Portraits, consistently delivering polished visual content while balancing creativity with technical precision. 01What do you attribute your success to?

A lot of hard work, dedication, and a bit of stubbornness. Every rejection hurts but you have to get up the next morning and keep trying with relentlessness. Being in the right place at the right time through networking and meetings.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

Don't give up. Keep trying. Keep networking, keep those doors open, keep those connections active. You never know when one of your connections could come back around with a job opportunity.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

Persevere in the face of challenges, maintaining consistent effort and determination. Allow your decisions to be guided by your authentic passions and convictions, while upholding integrity and remaining aligned with your core values.

04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

Securing a creative role at Disney after 319 rejections. Opportunity to contribute to parades, signage, merchandise design, concept ideas, and creative support as seen in previous internship with Disney Live Entertainment.

05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

Honesty, integrity, doing a good job, and family. Making sure kids have a solid grasp that life isn't perfect but it's worth getting up and trying again when things don't go your way.
