Her Story

About Gina

Originally from Hershey, Pennsylvania, Gina took a nontraditional path to where she is today. Before entering the business world, she pursued a career in professional dance and earned her bachelor's degree in Dance from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, becoming the first in her family to graduate from college. Her background in performing arts helped shape the confidence, adaptability, discipline, and ability to connect with people that continue to influence her today. Gina is naturally curious and has always been drawn to understanding people, building genuine relationships, and finding opportunities to bring others together. Outside of work, she enjoys staying involved in her community, meeting new people, and continuing to challenge herself personally and professionally. She is also a lifelong animal lover, a proud cat mom, and someone who believes some of the best opportunities in life come from being willing to take an unexpected path.

Her Interview

Ten minutes with Gina

01What do you attribute your success to?

Gina attributes much of her success to her ability to connect with people, adapt to different environments, and remain persistent even when the path forward isn't always obvious. She believes relationships are built through authenticity, consistency, and trust, and that people will always remember how you made them feel. She also credits her willingness to take chances, embrace change, and learn by doing. From pursuing a career in professional dance to building a career in staffing, recruiting, and business development, Gina has never been afraid of taking an unconventional path or starting something new. Rather than defining success by a specific title or trajectory, she believes it comes from continuing to grow, staying curious, and being willing to create opportunities instead of waiting for them.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

Some of the best career advice Gina has carried with her wasn't given to her in a professional setting, but learned through years of competitive dance: learn how to take criticism, use what is constructive, and keep moving forward.

Growing up in an environment where being critiqued was simply part of the process taught her early not to take every piece of feedback personally. In dance, everything from technique and performance to appearance, costumes, and the smallest details could be evaluated. That constant exposure to feedback helped her develop a thick skin, while also teaching her the importance of remaining coachable.

She has carried that mindset throughout her career, pairing resilience with a genuine pursuit of knowledge. Rather than viewing criticism as inherently negative, she tries to understand what can be learned from it, ask questions, and use it as an opportunity to improve.
