About Gina
Gina Edwards, SHRM-CP, is an accomplished Human Resources and Benefits Manager at Richards, Layton & Finger, bringing more than 30 years of experience in human resources leadership, talent acquisition, and employee relations. In her current role, she oversees HR and benefits strategy while supporting organizational effectiveness, workforce planning, and employee engagement initiatives. Known for her relationship-driven approach, she combines deep recruiting expertise with a strong understanding of HR operations to help align people strategies with business goals.
Throughout her career, Gina has held senior HR and talent leadership roles across a range of organizations, including WSFS Bank, where she served as Assistant Vice President and Senior HCM Business Partner, and T.H. Easter Consulting LLC, where she led executive recruiting and talent strategy as Director of Recruiting. She has also contributed to higher education as an adjunct instructor at Goldey-Beacom College. Her expertise spans full-cycle recruitment, diversity and inclusion initiatives, onboarding, leadership development, and benefits administration, with a consistent focus on building strong workplace cultures and delivering high-impact HR solutions.
Gina holds a master’s-level education in Organizational Leadership from Wilmington University and maintains her SHRM-CP certification through the Society for Human Resource Management. She is actively involved in professional and community organizations, including leadership roles with local SHRM-affiliated groups and human resources associations. In addition to her HR career, she is engaged in speaking, mentoring, and community-focused initiatives that reflect her commitment to professional development, empowerment, and positive organizational change.

01What do you attribute your success to?
My faith, my family, and fulfilling my purpose. I learned my purpose in my early 20s and it has driven me to make an eternal impact through my gifts, books like Imparting Eternity, and small acts of kindness. My parents, especially my mom, have always been supportive.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
Believe in yourself and obtain as much education as you can get. No one can take your knowledge from you.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Believe in yourself. Don't let what other people say dictate who you are. Understand your strengths and areas of improvement and just go for it. Don't delay. You'll never fulfill your purpose or your dream if you don't begin.
