Her Story
About Ginni
I've been in real estate for many years, working as a broker and in leadership roles at real estate companies while continuing to sell houses throughout my career. I launched my coaching business in 2009, deciding I needed to be the person who does what I say. I've had the opportunity to write and rewrite courses for the National Association of Realtors and have done a tremendous number of interviews for magazines on specific subjects throughout my career. I'm very focused on success-based education because I believe anybody can do anything they decide to do when they actually decide to do it. I've gone through several coaching programs and just recently became a certified John Maxwell team member in coaching, speaking, and training, as well as a certified Purpose Factor coach. I have a contract with a company where I meet with their people once a month. I raised my very successful daughter as a single mom, and now I have a granddaughter. I'm currently in the process of starting another business and growing a new company that will expand more outside of the real estate industry and into other companies and other locations. I work from home, which allows me to carve out time for what matters. I feel very strongly that I have an obligation to give what I can give to those who need what I can give, and until that goes away, I need to keep doing it. I care more about impact than awards - when somebody shows up at an open house just to see me because I trained her how to be successful, that has more impact than any recognition.

Ten minutes with Ginni
01What do you attribute your success to?
I believe anybody can do anything they decide to do when they actually decide to do it. I've always been that person who has enough confidence in myself to know that if I do, I will be okay. I had enough confidence to walk out on that bridge and know I'm gonna be okay. To be successful, you need to make one day at a time work - know what you want and know why you want it. There are two primary things one must think about: money needs a job, and time needs a job. When you give time a job and assign it specific tasks that are success-based tasks, you'll be as successful as you decide to be, as long as you stick to your time. And when you do that, you'll get the money that you need and want, and then you assign that money the job. You only have one day at a time to make effective - you can't fix yesterday, you can learn from yesterday, but you can't fix it. Tomorrow's not here yet. What are today's achievements? What are today's accomplishments? What do you need to do today to make tomorrow better? I believe those who do that well are the ones that will have as much success as they choose to have. It's a choice thing - what are you choosing to do? What are you allowing in your life that are distractions that are keeping you from the mission? Self-awareness is a big piece because if you're not aware of what you're doing, how are you going to do something different?
02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Know what you want, and know why you want it - that's important. Are you creating a business plan that is geared toward the activities that you need to do to achieve that goal? It's really not rocket science. What do you want, and why? What will change in your life if you achieve this goal? If it's big enough, it should be the impetus behind you getting out of bed every morning, suiting up, and going to work. And when you do that, you'll have what you want. You only have one day at a time to make effective. You can't fix yesterday, you can learn from yesterday, but you can't fix it. Tomorrow's not here yet - plan for tomorrow, expect to do stuff tomorrow, but what's today? What are today's achievements? What are today's accomplishments? What do you need to do today to make tomorrow better? I believe those who do that well are the ones that will have as much success as they choose to have. It's a choice - what are you choosing to do? What are you allowing in your life that are distractions that are keeping you from the mission? Self-awareness is a big piece because if you're not aware of what you're doing, how are you going to do something different?
03What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
I feel very strongly that I have an obligation to give what I can give to those who need what I can give. I've been in so many places and learned so many things, and I'm at a stage in my career where I'm very blessed and very grateful, but there's also an obligation. Until that goes away, I need to keep doing it. I care more about impact than I care about awards. I love the awards I've received, but when I have somebody show up at her open house because I trained her how to be successful and she walked in just to see me, that has more impact. Because of what I do for a living, I can carve out time for my granddaughter, even though my daughter's busy so I don't get to see her as often as I like. I raised my very successful daughter as a single mom, and she understands because she watched me, so I guess I have accomplished something.
