Giovana Carvalho Sousa is an Executive Assistant specializing in commercial real estate, executive support, and business operations. She began her career in the real estate industry three years ago with Fischler Properties, where she supported a variety of critical business functions, including tenant communications, LLC formation, coordination with attorneys and sellers, closing processes, financial administration across multiple bank accounts, and the preparation of organizational documents for various companies. Her ability to manage complex responsibilities, maintain confidentiality, and provide proactive solutions has established her as a reliable and valued professional within the industry.
Before transitioning into commercial real estate, Giovana developed her administrative expertise while working as an office assistant in the cabinet and marble industries, where she assumed leadership responsibilities and demonstrated strong organizational and management skills. Her adaptability, attention to detail, and commitment to operational excellence have allowed her to thrive in fast-paced environments. She has recently advanced her career by accepting an Executive Assistant role with El Ad National Properties, a development firm focused on mixed-use projects, where she continues to support executive initiatives and business growth. Giovana is also a commissioned notary and holds a high school diploma from Monarch High School.

01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to the values instilled in me by my immigrant parents, who taught me the importance of hard work, determination, and perseverance. They showed me that with dedication, a strong work ethic, and the desire to achieve my goals, I can overcome challenges and accomplish anything I set my mind to. Their example taught me to never take opportunities for granted, to remain grateful for every experience, and to continue striving for personal and professional growth.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I have ever received is to lead with my heart and find purpose and joy in the work I do. I believe that when passion and authenticity are absent, even the most successful path can feel limiting. Approaching my career with compassion, integrity, and a genuine sense of fulfillment allows me to build meaningful relationships, embrace challenges, and create a positive impact while staying true to myself.

The values that are most important to me in both my work and personal life are open communication, honesty, and respect. I believe that clear and thoughtful communication builds trust, strengthens relationships, and creates a foundation for successful collaboration. Maintaining honesty in my actions and decisions allows me to approach every situation with integrity, while showing respect for others helps foster positive and meaningful connections.
