Q

What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to a lifelong passion for radiology and a commitment to growth, precision, and compassion. Starting as an X-ray technologist over thirty years ago, I discovered a fascination with both the heart and the human impact of imaging, which led me to the cardiac cath lab and earning my RCIS certification. Today, as Imaging Manager at the Women’s Institute at Boca Raton Regional Hospital, I lead a dedicated team focused on patient care, while continuing to learn and mentor the next generation of technologists.

Q

What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best career advice I’ve ever received can be summed up in a few guiding principles: stay curious by always learning and asking “why,” keep growing through education and self-development, and lead with compassion because true leadership begins with empathy. Balance ambition with grace, surround yourself with mentors and collaborators who uplift you, give back through service, and remember that success is defined by fulfillment, not titles.

Q

What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

My advice to young women entering radiology is to never lose your desire to learn. Curiosity keeps you sharp, adaptable, and open to new possibilities. Even after 30 years in this field, I’m still learning every day, and finishing my bachelor’s degree later in life reminded me that growth has no expiration date. Explore all the options radiology offers—don’t feel limited to just one area. Taking the time to learn each field will make you well-rounded, deepen your expertise, and help you lead with both skill and humility.

Q

What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

The values most important to me are leadership, growth, and service. Mentoring students, assisting with exams, and pursuing continuous learning have taught me the importance of empathy and support in every professional interaction. Beyond work, I volunteer at events that promote women’s health, reminding me that every action—big or small—can make a meaningful difference.
