Glenda Caridad, MAOM is a passionate bilingual early childhood advocate dedicated to empowering families and strengthening communities through education. With over seven years of experience in curriculum planning, program assessment, and family engagement, she has built a career focused on serving under-resourced populations and ensuring equitable access to quality early childhood services. As the Senior Manager of Home Visitation Programs at Focus Points Family Resource Center, Glenda leads initiatives that support Hispanic families from pregnancy through a child’s fifth year, fostering resilience, learning, and long-term success.

Before assuming her current leadership role, Glenda served as the HIPPY Manager at Focus Points Family Resource Center, where she helped redefine program delivery to better meet the needs of diverse families. Her earlier experience as a Family & Community Advocate with Mile High Early Learning allowed her to bridge the gap between education and social services, supporting parents in developing essential life and parenting skills. Her background also includes professional roles in customer service and financial services, where she honed her communication, analytical, and organizational abilities—skills she now applies to building strong community partnerships and improving program outcomes.

Glenda holds a Master’s degree in Organizational Management from Ashford University, where she was a member of the Golden Key Honour Society, and a Family Development Credential from the University of Connecticut. Fully bilingual in English and Spanish, she uses her cultural fluency to connect authentically with the families she serves. Guided by empathy, collaboration, and a commitment to continuous learning, Glenda continues to champion early childhood education as a pathway to stronger, more connected communities.

Q

What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to my lived experiences and the deep personal connections that have shaped my purpose. My love for my brother, who has developmental delays, and my own personal challenges have inspired me to dedicate my career to supporting others through compassionate leadership. As a Senior Manager, I lead a home visitation program that serves Hispanic families from pregnancy through a child’s fifth year—a role that allows me to blend empathy with impact every day. One of my proudest accomplishments has been redefining a grant program to better meet the needs of our community while empowering my all-women team to grow personally and professionally. I find immense fulfillment in mentoring my staff toward their career goals, helping them strengthen their English skills, and watching the transformation of the children and mothers we serve. For me, this work is far more than a profession—it’s a calling. The fact that I even met my husband while volunteering in this very community reminds me that service and connection have always been at the heart of my journey.
