Her Story
About Gloria
I began as a ghostwriter, writing articles and blog posts, mainly starting with sustainability, agriculture, science, and microbiology, which was my background. Parenting was also a big passion after becoming a mother. What led to my pivot was a big life change that I underwent in 2022, so I became passionate about mental health and wellness, and how words can impact the way we seek help, the way we see others, the way we see ourselves. I became passionate about conveying scientific information from psychology and the mental health and wellness spaces, and translating all that scientific information into something that anybody could understand, but also convey it with passion and empathy, because those are very sensitive subjects. I focus on the mental health and wellness industry, helping clients with articles, blogs, and I help coaches, CEOs, and clinicians write their books about very heavy but important topics. My inspiration comes from what I read, some things I hear that people go through, but also my own personal experience. A lot of the things I write about are something that I've experienced, like anxiety and depression, and I try to convey that and try to educate as much as I can. I'm working on a couple of book projects - one is personal essays, micro essays, and poetry, and I'm also working on a children's book on my own time when I'm not working for a client.

01What do you attribute your success to?
I think it's perseverance, just being resilient. I have a genetic disease, and I'm wheelchair-bound, and I think that has translated into everything that I do in my life. Just being persistent, not giving up. When things get tough, you find a way. Sometimes it takes you a little longer to get where you're going, and in my experience, sometimes I have to find a different way to do things, or something may take me a little longer, but eventually you get there. It's just perseverance, and not giving up on yourself. Sometimes life knocks you down, but you lay there a little bit, and you dust yourself off, and then you pick yourself back up. I've been in a wheelchair since I started walking - I walked for a little bit when I was younger, but ever since then, I've been in a wheelchair.
