With over 20 years of experience in architecture and construction management, Gloria has built a distinguished career overseeing complex construction projects across the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. She began her professional journey as a Construction Administrator and has consistently demonstrated expertise in project coordination, contract management, and construction oversight. Gloria holds a Bachelor of Environmental Design in Architecture from Texas A&M University and maintains professional certifications, including OSHA Hazard Recognition Training.
Throughout her career, Gloria has contributed to high-profile projects, including managing construction administration for the largest independent school district project at the time, valued at $273 million. Her dedication to quality, safety, and client-focused execution has earned her recognition in the field. Inspired by her long-standing passion for architecture and her appreciation for art, Gloria has combined creativity with technical expertise to bring complex projects to life. What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
I would advise young women entering my industry to stay true to themselves and never back down. Embracing your authentic self, advocating for your ideas, and maintaining confidence in your abilities are key to building a successful and fulfilling career.
What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
One of the biggest challenges in my field is navigating a male-dominated environment. At the same time, this presents an opportunity to break barriers, amplify diverse voices, and lead by example, demonstrating that skill, expertise, and determination are what truly drive success.
