She attributes her success to God and values honesty, loyalty, authenticity, and a strong work ethic in both her professional and personal life.

Her Interview

Ten minutes with Gloria

01What do you attribute your success to?

This is a gift from God in the first place. It's not my gift anyway, so he just gives me the songs, he gives me the ability to write, you know, the books, the questions for the games, all of it comes from him, and then I just go from that, and other people connected with him to, with resources in order to bring it to life, because I can't do it all by myself.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

Just to love what you actually do, and be passionate about it, and do it well. I think for me, I just don't get stuck in one career. I believe that you have different gifts and talents that you can utilize and assist where it fits at.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

Get marketing because that was a struggling thing. Stay focused and believe in what you're doing even though there may be some difficulties. If you can get somebody that is good at marketing, put it out there even if you have fear. Stay positive, trust God in the process, and get connected with people who can bring all positivities.

04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

Marketing and economy, school budgets being cut, getting purchase orders even with vendor contracts. Need for tech company or investor to sponsor the app to get it nationwide in schools. Challenges of having the budget and money to pay for items.

05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

Honesty and loyalty, being my authentic self around people, being down to earth with family, friends, and people who need help. Having the best work ethic, helping people out where there is a need, being impactful and making some type of difference in personal lives.
