What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to the journey I began at Hilton in 2000, starting in sales and front office before transitioning into catering in 2003. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of managing union catering, executing weddings, and overseeing high-profile events. My mother was my inspiration and the reason I pursued this field, instilling in me the values of service, resilience, and dedication that continue to guide me today.
What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I ever received was to be passionate about what you do. Passion fuels consistency, creativity, and perseverance, and I’ve learned that when you truly love the work, challenges become opportunities and results feel even more rewarding.
What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
To young women entering the industry, my advice is simple: work hard and stay focused. Hospitality is demanding, but it also offers immense rewards for those who are dedicated and committed to growth.
What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
One of the greatest challenges I’ve faced in the industry is managing a team of 20 while ensuring every customer’s needs are met with care and precision. Balancing leadership responsibilities with service excellence requires patience, communication, and the ability to lead by example.
What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
At the heart of everything I do are my values—my family, which includes my child and husband, my professional growth, and my love for learning. Reading is one of my favorite ways to recharge and gain perspective, and it keeps me grounded as I continue to grow personally and professionally.
