Grace Nwaiwu

I am an environmental compliance and sustainability leader with experience across energy, engineering, regulatory, academic, and manufacturing sectors. Currently, I serve as Senior Environmental Lead at NextDecade, where I design and implement environmental permits, compliance programs, operational procedures, and training systems to support LNG facility startup and long-term environmental excellence.

My background includes global sustainability leadership at CB&I McDermott, regulatory investigation work with the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality, and environmental health and safety management at Texas Southern University. Earlier in my career, I worked as a Quality Control Analyst with Procter & Gamble, developing strong foundations in quality systems and industrial processes.

I hold both a PhD and Master’s degree in Environmental Toxicology from Texas Southern University, and I am passionate about bridging science, policy, and industry to achieve sustainable, compliant, and efficient operations. My core interests include environmental regulatory compliance, sustainability strategy, environmental risk management, and industrial environmental performance improvement.
