About Grace
Grace Rance is a legal consultant, entrepreneur, and former immigration law professor with more than three decades of experience in immigration law, international law, and intercultural human rights law. Based in Boca Raton, Florida, she has built a distinguished career advising individuals, organizations, and law firms on complex immigration matters, legal research, and human rights issues. Since beginning her immigration consulting practice in the early 1990s, Rance has provided research and case support to more than 30 immigration law firms while helping clients navigate challenging legal systems.
Rance earned her Juris Doctor (J.D.) from Southern University Law Center and later pursued advanced legal studies, including an LLM focused on international and intercultural human rights law through St. Thomas University School of Law. She has also continued her legal education through programs associated with institutions such as University of Oxford, University of London, and Michigan State University. Throughout her career, she has combined legal scholarship, teaching, consulting, and advocacy, with particular attention to immigration, asylum, deportation defense, and the protection of human dignity.
Beyond her professional practice, Grace Rance is deeply committed to faith-based service, human rights advocacy, and supporting vulnerable populations. She has participated in church and community initiatives, served in missionary leadership, and contributed to discussions surrounding global justice, environmental human rights, and displaced communities. Her work reflects a dedication to integrity, compassion, lifelong learning, and the belief that the law can serve as a powerful tool for protecting individual rights and creating meaningful change.

01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to my faith, commitment to lifelong learning, perseverance, compassion, and an unwavering dedication to justice and the rule of law. Throughout my career, I have remained committed to continuous growth and education, which has strengthened my ability to advocate for and serve vulnerable populations. These values have guided my work and shaped my approach to making a meaningful impact in the lives of others.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I have received has come from the legal scholars, professors, and faith leaders who have guided me, along with my experiences serving immigrant communities. Their wisdom has shaped my commitment to advocacy, compassion, and meaningful service.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Find your passion and strive to excel in it. Work hard, give your best effort, and always maintain dignity, integrity, and honesty. Success requires perseverance, and women must be prepared to work diligently and confidently to achieve their goals.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
One of the biggest challenges in my field is balancing the rule of law with humanitarian concerns for individuals fleeing persecution. It requires carefully navigating the intersection between legal requirements and cases involving well-founded fears of harm, while ensuring fairness and compassion in the pursuit of justice.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
The values most important to me are justice, integrity, faith, compassion, service, and lifelong learning. I am committed to protecting the dignity and rights of every individual while using my knowledge and experience to make a positive impact.
I am passionate about legal scholarship, international human rights, teaching, missionary work, and supporting vulnerable populations as they navigate complex legal systems. I also value continuous education and expanding my understanding to better serve others.
