Q

What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to a combination of curiosity, community, and a passion for words. My journey to becoming a content strategist and communications expert didn’t start in a boardroom—it started in a poetry workshop. A theater scholarship first took me away from home to the College of Santa Fe, an experience that opened my eyes and ignited my love for language. It was my community, however, that helped me channel that passion into a career in communications.

Over the past decade, I’ve specialized in guiding health and insurance organizations back to their core missions. One of my proudest achievements came during the pandemic, when I led the marketing efforts to digitally transform a 50-year-old insurance ad-tech company in just two weeks. This initiative created a new online presence that has contributed to 9% annual growth. At heart, I am a writer who thrives on creating tangible results and engaging audiences.

I also extend my impact by teaching others to write clearly and leverage AI, all driven by my ultimate goal: helping people. My advice to anyone pursuing their passion is simple: listen to the fire within you. If you feel a spark for what you’re doing, that’s your signal—embrace it and go for it.

Q

What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

In both my work and personal life, the values I hold most important are curiosity, authenticity, and growth. I strive to approach challenges with an open mind, to communicate honestly and effectively, and to continuously learn from every experience. These principles guide the way I connect with others, solve problems, and pursue meaningful impact in my career.

Outside of work, I find balance and inspiration through poetry and immersing myself in nature. Whether it’s hiking, camping, or simply exploring the outdoors, these hobbies recharge me and spark creativity that I bring back to my professional life.
