About Guisella
Guisella Bachman is a real estate entrepreneur and realtor based in Costa Rica. Since 2009 she has owned and managed a portfolio of residential rental properties, which she rents below market rate to single women with children. Bachman began her business with her husband using personal savings to purchase properties one at a time. She holds a double bachelor's degree in marketing and international business as well as an MBA in international business. She is currently enrolled in law school in Costa Rica with an expected graduation in fall 2027. Bachman attributes her success to resilience and perseverance while advising others never to let societal labels limit their potential.

01What do you attribute your success to?
I will say resilience. And keep dreaming, because when you are resilient, you take whatever comes to you, good or bad, and if you think about it, you will use that for your own good, or you can let that thing that happened to you to destroy your own life, so I think it's the masterpiece here.
02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
I will say, never let society to put tax on you. Your destiny, and if you want to become a realtor, or whatever you would like to become, you are able to do it. We just need to stop society for putting labels on us. That is what prevents us to keep moving forward, because we get these labels, and we get those labels stuck in our heads, and unfortunately, that usually buffs our own lives.
