Gurpreet Mann
Gurpreet Kaur Mann is a Leadership and Executive Career Strategist, Total Compensation Negotiator, LinkedIn authority, and entrepreneur. As the founder and CEO of GKM Coaching, she has built a thriving business helping career professionals and service-based entrepreneurs achieve transformative success. Coming from a family of entrepreneurs, Gurpreet has been running businesses since 2008 and transitioned to full-time entrepreneurship in 2013. Her expertise in LinkedIn visibility and personal branding has generated significant opportunities, including media coverage in the Wall Street Journal, invitations to keynote speaking engagements, and board memberships.
Gurpreet’s journey is rooted in her own professional transformation. Early career setbacks, including being dismissed from her first HR manager role, inspired her to rebuild her confidence and develop frameworks that now empower thousands of professionals to secure $200K–$500K+ roles, negotiate seven-figure compensation packages, and scale their businesses to consistent six- and seven-figure revenue. Her approach emphasizes executive presence, measurable business impact, and strategic positioning, helping clients demonstrate their value and access decision-makers without relying on resumes or endless certifications.
Beyond her entrepreneurial and executive coaching work, Gurpreet is deeply committed to mentoring women and guiding professionals to leverage LinkedIn for visibility, PR opportunities, and career growth. She prioritizes alignment and clear ROI in all her investments of time and energy, favoring collaboration and thought leadership over paid features. Her dedication to career transformation, personal branding, and empowering others has made her a recognized voice in her field, featured in Forbes, The Wall Street Journal, CBC News, and The Globe and Mail, and a member of the Forbes Coaches Council.

What do you attribute your success to?
For two decades, Gurpreet has walked the floor literally. Before a single email or meeting, she made it her mission to greet every single person in the company, because as she puts it, visibility creates trust. With 20 years each in HR and career coaching, plus her own entrepreneurial journey (running businesses on the side since 2008 and full-time since 2013), Gurpreet embodies the fearless spirit she teaches. Coming from a family of entrepreneurs, she now dedicates her days to helping others navigate their own paths—blending hard-won business insight with the soul of a coach. Her advice to young women launching their own ventures? “Don’t follow any rules. Make your own. This is your career. Know who you want to be, stay true to yourself, and approach every new challenge as if it’s a playground.” Along the way, two coaches shaped her profoundly: Kendra, her first coach, and another who taught her the power of self-worth. Gurpreet’s legacy is a reminder that the boldest career moves begin with trusting your own voice.
What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
I'm very intentional about alignment and making sure everything I do serves a clear purpose with measurable ROI. I don't chase visibility for visibility's sake anymore. I look for genuine collaboration where both parties benefit, not just paid features or one-sided arrangements. I believe strongly in adding value and giving back through mentoring and teaching others. When I invest my time or money into something, I need to know it's going to get me one step closer to my goals and that there's real value exchange. I'm selective about what I join and who I work with because I want to make sure there's true alignment with my values and objectives.
