Her Interview
01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute everything to the Holy Spirit and my faith in my Creator. I wouldn’t be anywhere near where I am today if it weren’t for my faith and my Heavenly Father.
Over the years, I’ve helped many women who were experiencing emotional, mental, and spiritual abuse that eventually manifested in their bodies as illnesses such as multiple sclerosis, cancer, and fibromyalgia. As we worked together through coaching and emotional healing, many began to regain their health, leave unhealthy situations, and move forward into healthier, more fulfilling lives.
Then life brought me to that same crossroads. After being married for 24 years, I found myself in a similar situation. I had to become my own coach and apply everything I had been teaching others. By the grace of Yahweh, I came through it without ever having to enter a homeless shelter.
Instead, I moved into the very community where I had always dreamed of living— Homewood.
One night, I couldn’t sleep, so I opened Facebook and saw an article announcing a ribbon-cutting ceremony for new apartments in downtown Homewood— the same buildings I had driven past for nearly a year wondering what was being built. In that moment, I heard the Holy Spirit say, “Apply now.” So I did. Six months later, I moved in— peacefully and quietly.
I’ve now been in this beautiful town for the past two years, and it has been an incredible blessing.
I give all the glory to my Heavenly Father— my Creator. Others may use different names, but I call Him Yahweh. He is the same Spirit who walked with Abraham, Isaac, and Yacob, whom He renamed Yisrael—“Having power with Elohim.” Everything I am and everything I’ve accomplished, I owe to Him.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I’ve ever received is to believe in myself and trust my own abilities.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
The advice I would give to young women entering my industry is to avoid self-doubt and trust in their abilities. Confidence in your skills, decisions, and growth potential is essential for building a strong and successful career.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
One of the biggest challenges in my field is helping people distinguish evidence-based emotional wellness from the overwhelming amount of misinformation and quick-fix solutions available today. At the same time, one of the greatest opportunities is using technology, education, and community to make healing, caregiver support, and personal growth more accessible than ever. I believe the future belongs to leaders who can combine compassion with practical tools that create lasting transformation in people’s lives.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
The values most important to me in my work and personal life are honesty, integrity, faith, and empathy. These principles guide my decisions, shape how I interact with others, and ensure that I remain grounded, compassionate, and ethical in both my personal and professional endeavors.
