Her Interview
Ten minutes with Hadeel
01What do you attribute your success to?
It's a lot of factors. I definitely have to have the drive to persevere in life. Even though we have a lot of obstacles, but you just have to find that in you. Also, support from the people around you and have someone believe in you and tell you that you can do this. It's really important, but it's not what makes you succeed. You have to have the drive by yourself.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
Move on and not be stuck in one role and one category. There's always room to grow. There's always something that you can achieve, there's always a certificate that you can go after to get one step ahead in your career. Just never settle for what you are right now.
03What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
The biggest challenge is taking the ARE exams. I'm currently in the preparing period to take the exams. Succeeding on these exams would be really challenging, but I'm trying to do my best. The biggest opportunities is there's a lot of good opportunities in the field. Even though you're not a license, but you still could if I took my area exam. And it's an important step to get licensed to work as an architect for a period of time.
04What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Integrity is really important in work, like commitment. And in personal life, it's honesty and just being valuable. A person in both the professional and the personal aspects.
