Her Story

About Hailey

Hailey Pflaum serves as Branch Manager at Vector Marketing, a role she has held while working in the sales industry for a little over a year. As a senior at Michigan State University, she is majoring in kinesiology with a minor in Health Promotion. Professionally, Pflaum focuses on building genuine connections with people and helping them bridge the gap between their wants and how to achieve them. She attributes her success to a strong mindset, great mentors, family support, and people who provide advice along the way. Pflaum values a supportive work environment where colleagues uplift each other, work toward common goals, and celebrate successes, as well as a loving family environment personally. She volunteers at an animal shelter in Lansing and participates in her sorority's efforts to support against domestic violence through fundraisers and building baskets. Among the biggest opportunities in her field, Pflaum highlights becoming branch manager, managing reps, and navigating the learning curve of responsibility while teaching others. She advises not listening to opinions from those not in a position one aspires to reach, and encourages young women to put themselves out there, try everything, and not be afraid.

Her Interview

Ten minutes with Hailey

01What do you attribute your success to?

It all comes down to the mind, and whatever you put your mind to, you can achieve. Having great mentors, family, and people by your side that support you and give you advice along the way is super helpful.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

Don't listen to anybody else's opinions that aren't in a place that you want to be in.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

Don't be afraid to put yourself out there. Get yourself in situations that maybe you wouldn't see yourself in. Try everything. And don't be afraid.

04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

The biggest opportunity is becoming branch manager, pursuing that, going through the obstacles with all that responsibility, managing reps underneath me. It's been a learning curve and learning alongside of teaching.

05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

Within my work, I want to have people that support me and uplift me, and we work towards a common goal and celebrate each other's success. Personally, a loving environment. I have a great family, and I think that's a huge part of my success.
