Haley Heskett
Haley Heskett is a results-driven operations and people development professional serving as People and Business Development Manager at MaxLiving-Columbia. In her role, she oversees day-to-day clinic operations, including patient flow, staff coordination, human resources functions, marketing initiatives, and community engagement efforts. She focuses on building efficient systems that support both high-performing teams and meaningful patient experiences, with an emphasis on relationship-driven outreach and measurable organizational impact. Her career began in direct patient care, working as a Certified Nursing Assistant at McLeod Health and later at Lexington Medical Center, including experience in hospital settings during the COVID-19 pandemic. She later transitioned from clinical care into business and operations, taking on roles in construction project management for healthcare clinic build-outs and developing franchise training systems. Her career path was shaped by mentorship from Mark Losby and Dr. Sarah Losby, which led her from an early nannying role into leadership positions in operations and franchise training development. Haley holds an academic background from Liberty University, where she earned degrees in Business and related fields. Her professional focus centers on operational excellence, employee development, marketing strategy, and community-centered healthcare initiatives. She is especially committed to leadership through service—building strong teams, developing talent, and creating programs that extend organizational impact into the broader community through partnerships and outreach.

What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to the mentorship of Mark and Dr. Sarah Losby, owners of our clinics, who have profoundly shaped my personal and professional growth by recognizing my potential early and encouraging me to step outside my comfort zone. They created a supportive environment where I was given space to try, fail, and grow, while also holding me accountable to develop new strengths I didn’t initially see in myself. Despite their business success, they remain deeply humble and community-focused, consistently giving back and modeling servant leadership in meaningful, often quiet ways. Their guidance, combined with my own resilience shaped by being raised in a single-parent household, has been transformative, and I would not be where I am today without their belief in me.
What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
My general advice is that no matter what happens in life, as long as you never give up on yourself, anything is possible. It doesn’t matter who believes in you—what matters is that you stay committed to your own growth, even when your timeline looks different from others and comparison tries to steal your joy. If you stay anchored to your vision, define your values and goals, and make intentional daily choices toward them, you’ll eventually look back and see how far you’ve come. In any role, show up fully, be willing to learn and take on challenges beyond your job description, and embrace failure as part of growth. Develop both your skills and your ability to communicate your value, because education alone isn’t enough without strong interpersonal and self-marketing abilities. Most importantly, maintain a growth mindset and consistency in excellence—no matter where you start, your effort and attitude can open unexpected doors over time.
What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
The most important value to me is serving others and making a positive impact. I’ve always been driven by the desire to use my voice and any platform I have to uplift others and share stories that can resonate, inspire, and potentially change someone’s life. I currently work in a faith-based organization that emphasizes servant leadership, where we focus on pouring into people so they can grow, thrive, and even go on to build their own paths, which I see as a meaningful success of the culture. I believe true leadership is about empowering others rather than control, and holding up a ladder so people can surpass you, while also recognizing the importance of self-care so you can continue giving to others sustainably. One of my most notable accomplishments has been developing the franchise training manual, which became the organization’s standard curriculum after months of dedicated work.
