Halie Krugman
Halie Krugman is a highly experienced Surgical Technologist currently working at AdventHealth Castle Rock and Children’s Hospital Colorado. With over a decade of hands-on experience in the operating room, she has scrubbed a wide range of surgical procedures including general, orthopedic, neuro, ENT, urology, and cardiac surgeries. Halie is certified as a Surgical Technologist (CST) and is known for her dedication to patient safety, adherence to aseptic technique, and proficiency in surgical instrumentation, sterilization, and decontamination.
Throughout her career, Halie has demonstrated a commitment to continuous learning and professional growth. She has worked in diverse hospital settings, including travel assignments across Colorado and Ohio, which allowed her to gain extensive experience in multiple surgical specialties. Her expertise in surgical services, combined with her strong communication and teamwork skills, has made her a valued member of every surgical team she joins.
Halie earned an Associate’s Degree in Surgical Technology from Lorain County Community College and pursued pre-medical studies at The University of Akron, further solidifying her foundation in healthcare. Passionate about the medical field and dedicated to the well-being of her patients, Halie continues to expand her skills and contribute to high-quality patient care, aiming to excel as a surgical professional while mentoring others entering the field.

I attribute my success from my biggest supporter and mentor—my husband—who constantly encourages me and helps in any way I need.
What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advise is to put 100% into everything you do. Even when starting out can be stressful due to challenging doctors or staff, showing up ready to give my best has always led to success.
What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
The biggest challenge I’m facing right now is that I’ve reached the highest level in my travel surgical technologist role as a coordinator, and I’m ready to find my next opportunity for growth.
What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
The values most important to me are family and personal fulfillment; I cherish spending quality time with my three daughters, enjoy regular movie nights with them, and have a deep passion for singing across all genres of music.
