About Halie
Halie Payne is a lead recruiter with 6 to 7 years of experience specializing in skilled trades and technical talent acquisition. She currently works with CCS, having moved there from Talent Corp due to branch changes. At Talent Corp she focused on skilled trades placements such as HVAC technicians, plumbers, and electricians, and helped create a dedicated department for these roles. Previously, she served as a lead recruiter at Motion Recruitment in tech staffing, working with DevOps, SRE, and cloud engineer positions, where she honed her skills in sourcing quality candidates. She began her recruiting career at Staff Right handling warehouse and clerical staffing. Halie holds a degree in early childhood and development, which has aided her organizational skills in recruiting.

01What do you attribute your success to?
My mom has been my rock since day one and very supportive. My daughter Haven has given me that drive to create a future for her and push myself.
02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Go for it, start at the bottom and work your way up. No role is a small role. Focus on quality candidates not quantity. Find a job that makes you successful in the first year then look for bigger cities.
03What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
The economy is putting a factor in recruiting as businesses are not doing well and recruiting companies are going down with fewer resources.
04What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Loyalty, honesty, and listening. I want people to know that when I'm saying something, it's true. Really wanting to have that honesty with people, and to connect with people on a different basis, and really listening.
