Her Story
About Hallie
I went to Michigan State for a few years in their Arts and Humanities program, then attended hair school for my cosmetology license and did hair for 6 years. While doing hair, I went to the College for Creative Studies and got a full ride scholarship after my first year. I finished school in 2020 and have been with Crimson ever since, starting as a graphic designer and advancing to lead art direction and visual direction for all client brands.

Ten minutes with Hallie
01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to attending the College for Creative Studies in Detroit, which helped set me up well for getting a job by preparing me for interviews. My mom also played a big role by always pushing me to keep doing good work and believing in everything I did.
02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
I would suggest that everybody who is creative should be confident in what they're doing. There's so many different brands out in the world that need different types of creativity, so just being able to push yourself and get out of your comfort zone, but also just being confident in what you know you're already good at, and not second-guessing it.
