About Hana
Hana Klimczak is the Co-Founder and COO of Scaalr, an AI company developing conversational agents for property management. She leads operations, partnerships, customer relationships, and business development while helping shape AI solutions designed around the realities of property operations. Scaalr’s technology supports resident communications, maintenance intake and triage, after-hours coverage, escalation, routing, and other operational workflows, providing property teams with consistent support while keeping human decision-making at the center.
Hana’s career reflects a diverse progression across health and wellness, corporate program management, entrepreneurship, real estate, and technology. A Registered Dietitian by training, she began her career in health and wellness before moving into program management, including leading a health and wellness program at Loblaw. Her experience owning and managing rental properties gave her firsthand insight into the communication, coordination, and operational challenges faced by property teams, ultimately inspiring her transition into AI and the creation of Scaalr.
Known for her adaptability and willingness to become a beginner in new fields, Hana brings a people-centered and systems-oriented perspective to her leadership. She believes in giving teams context, ownership, and room to think while remaining open to changing course when better information emerges. Her professional philosophy is grounded in continuous learning, thoughtful problem-solving, and the belief that seemingly unrelated experiences can provide valuable skills for future opportunities.
Her Interview
Ten minutes with Hana
01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to my willingness to keep learning, adapt to new environments, and become comfortable being a beginner. My career has taken me from nutrition and corporate program management to entrepreneurship, real estate, and AI, and each experience has given me skills that I continue to use today. I also believe in asking good questions, listening to people with different expertise, and staying focused on understanding problems and finding practical solutions.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I have received is that my career does not have to make sense in advance. I have learned to take opportunities that teach me something, pay attention to what I am naturally good at, and not be afraid to change direction when a new path offers meaningful growth. Every experience can provide skills and lessons that become valuable later, even when the connection is not immediately obvious.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
I would encourage young women entering AI and technology to not wait until they feel completely qualified before taking on new opportunities. Be willing to ask questions, learn from people with expertise different from your own, and become comfortable being a beginner. Your previous experience is not a limitation; skills from seemingly unrelated fields can become valuable strengths in technology. Most importantly, stay curious, trust your ability to learn, and focus on solving real problems rather than feeling like you need to have all the answers.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
One of the biggest opportunities in AI and property management is using conversational AI to reduce repetitive communication and operational workload while providing consistent support around the clock. At the same time, a major challenge is ensuring that AI is implemented thoughtfully, with clear processes, appropriate escalation, and human oversight when situations require judgment. The opportunity is not simply to automate tasks, but to build technology that genuinely reflects how property teams and residents interact and helps people work more effectively.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
The values most important to me are curiosity, humility, integrity, and continuous learning. I believe in asking questions, listening to others, staying open to changing my mind when better information becomes available, and treating people with respect. In both my work and personal life, I value ownership, thoughtful problem-solving, and the willingness to keep learning and growing through every experience.
