Her Interview
Ten minutes with Hanna
01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to perseverance and motivation. There were times where it got super challenging, and I thought I couldn't go on much more, but there was always a voice saying, just one more sound, one more jump, one more push. It's to keep going and focus on that light at the end of the tunnel, that everything you do, all the hard work and effort, are going to pay off.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best advice is to just be yourself, and be true to who you are, and not let the opinions and words of others influence how you approach your job, and how you express yourself in your position.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Be prepared to hold your ground and know that you belong in the space. I'm in a very still male profession, so it is intimidating sometimes... know that you are you belong in the space that you walk into. You deserve to be there, deserve to be heard... Don't let that stop you from speaking out, from doing your job, from anything. Just keep going.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
The big challenge for me is just experiencing more professional growth. Still new to the office life and experience, but I look at it as an opportunity to learn. I get to learn something new about the professional world, in an office setting, I get to learn something new about myself.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
I definitely admire respect as a big one... If you are respectful and kind towards me, I will give you that same respect and kindness back. Intelligence is another high of value, just being able to think for yourself and not always everything you hear to explore and question things without fear of judging repercussions.
