I started in the industry by accident after hearing leasing agents could sell things. Coming from waitressing with strong customer service skills, I walked in with a paper resume and suit and got the job. I loved it immediately because every day is different and I've met incredible people who became family. As a property manager, my responsibilities include increasing income, minimizing expenses, and managing people. A typical day involves market reports, handling police issues, noise complaints, evictions, collecting money, and leading staff, which is the hardest part but also the most rewarding as I watch them grow. I have won multiple awards including Property Manager of the Year four times and Leasing Agent of the Year. My biggest accomplishment is opening my own real estate firm and becoming broker in charge while raising my son as a single mom after escaping domestic violence.
