I work directly with one of the psychologists who introduces me to the patient and does their own interview about why they're coming in. I get a brief summary from the psychologist and review the patient's chart, then they send me over the tests that they are looking for me to administer with the patients to gather information about their cognitive profiles. I administer and score the testing while collecting behavioral observations, working with the patient one-on-one. Then I wrap up with them and work on scoring all of that data, and writing up a summary about the patient, how they did with testing in terms of behavioral observations. I send that information over to the psychologist, who then interprets the data to report for the rest of their team. A lot of our patients are also seen in neurology, so they interpret that data for the neurologist to review for care management going forward, depending on what the patient's coming in for. I really enjoy the fixed flexible model we use, where you're administering tests in a standardized way so everybody gets the same experience, but you're also adjusting as you go along if a patient is doing poorly in one area and you want to get more information. A lot of times patients are coming in needing answers and a diagnosis to help them get started with their plan, and I think we're kind of that first stop in some ways, or the last stop in terms of having a bunch of different differentials and determining what that is so they can move on into their care.
