About Hannah
I started as a high school athlete going into college as a swimmer at Guilford College in Greensboro, North Carolina. I got my bachelor's in sports management and then my master's in International Sports Management. During that time I interned for three years at the Greensboro Sports Foundation working on ACC Championships, NCAA, USA swimming, and Paralympics. I was a collegiate swim coach for a year, then aquatic director at the Metro West YMCA of Framingham, and now I'm at the Greensboro Swarm in the G League.

01What do you attribute your success to?
What kept me motivated was seeing the impact I was making on other people and my friends asking me for advice. My professors at Guilford College like Dent Bradford and Michael White opened doors and made network connections for me. Also my mother Brenda Thompson who raised me as an independent woman and other strong women in my family like Sharon Thompson.
02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Don't be afraid to speak up for yourself and say yes to every opportunity even if it doesn't seem glamorous. Always network and build connections. Be the voice and the face for women in sports. Even the littlest yes might open the door to everything.
