What do you attribute your success to?
I think my work ethic. I think starting in athletics not only as a young adolescent, but into my adult life, I think starting there and having to be a little bit more scrappy and a little bit more resourceful has certainly helped me grow into finding different pathways to being successful in my role now.
What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
I don't know if it's necessarily direct advice. I think it's, your actions speak a lot louder than your words. So, as long as you can deliver, it can get done.
What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
I would say being adaptable in a pretty fast-paced environment. Technology is changing a lot, whether we can keep up with it as humans or not. As a woman especially, I think it's vital to be adaptable.
What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
I hate to overuse a word that we hear a lot, tariffs, and suppliers. Tariffs have obviously changed a lot of things for a lot of our technology partners, and how they price things, or how they can get items that has had a huge impact on our industry, as well as materials now that we're facing with chip shortages due to AI data centers being built at a frequent amount, especially in the States. But I think an opportunity for us as a company, we have been really fortunate, we haven't really had any issues with tariffs, just because of where we manufacture, what materials we're manufacturing. We have really been fortunate in that area. We really haven't had to deal with that. So, I think it gives us an opportunity to approach clients differently and work with our tech partners a lot more closely.
What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
I think being honest. I think if you can be honest, not only in your personal life with people that you care about, but with your customers as well, particularly in sales, I think that really goes a long way, because then you can build that trust between somebody that you really care about in your personal life, or even in a professional setting they know I'm here to help you, how can I do that? But I need to be honest about expectations, I need to be honest about how much it's going to cost, you know, when it will deliver, so that is most important.
