Her Interview
Ten minutes with Hannah
01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success 100% to my parents, God and my boyfriend of 8 years. I've walked a long path with my own dental work. The support of my parents & my boyfriend is what got me here today. I couldn't have done it without them.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
It's ok to freak out, just don't let anyone see it in the operatory.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Don't let anyone tell you that you have limitations on what you can do. If you want to be a surgeon, be a surgeon. Do what you think you're capable of doing.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
The biggest challenge it the negativity and negative connotation in dentistry. My goal is to make dental more approachable so people have a better understanding of the implications of oral and systemic health.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Holding myself to a really high standard, giving myself grace and knowing I did my best even though it wasn't perfect.
