Her Story
About Hannah
I graduated college with a marketing degree and a minor in photo and video, which helped me combine business knowledge with creativity. After college, I started in sales selling energy, but I was always passionate about social media and YouTube since I was a kid - I was on YouTube when it started in 2005, and I was always filming myself and vlogging even at a young age. I found a role where I could mix selling with something I'm passionate about by working with creators. Through networking and building strong relationships, I've grown to manage and sell partnerships to some of the top creators in the world. On a daily basis, I sell partnerships to talent managers, social media creators, and influencers, helping them expand on platforms they're not currently on or not strategizing enough on. After the sale, I manage these partnerships to make sure our creators are happy, managed correctly, and earning enough. I also attend a lot of industry events and summits like VidCon for in-person relationship building. I've been with the same company for about 5 years - it was Jellysmack, but then our department became its own entity called Trendly. Throughout my career, I've also been involved in hospitality and the restaurant business, working as a bartender and restaurant manager, and I currently run a side business showcasing all the new restaurants and fun things to do in Nashville. I'm a big foodie and music lover, which is part of why I moved to Nashville.

Ten minutes with Hannah
01What do you attribute your success to?
I'd love to say my drive and continuing even when it's hard and pushing through, but I also think relationship building is very, very important as well. I think networking has really opened a lot of doors for me. Building strong relationships, both personally and professionally, has been key to where I am today.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
I know this is silly, but fake it till you make it. I've always been told that, and at the end of the day, the confidence in yourself is most important. Showing that you are meaningful, prosperous, and valuable to your business is key. No one really knows what you know, so just always being confident and getting out of your comfort zone is what I've learned.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Being confident is the most important thing I can say. Confidence in yourself and what you bring to the table will take you far in this industry.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
I think platforms are the biggest challenge and opportunity in social media. There are so many platforms - TikTok, Instagram, Roku, YouTube, Spotify, Snapchat - and they all change constantly, which is very challenging. But these platform changes also give you so much opportunity because it's always another way to re-educate yourself, relearn, and move forward with those challenges. When it comes to these platforms, the challenges are also opportunities to do more and learn more.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Trust is super important in my work and personal life. I'm a huge empath, so having trust and building relationships, personally and professionally, matters deeply to me. Caring about people's feelings is important, especially in the sales world. You want to be able to provide something for them that makes their life easier. Building that trust and understanding that people have lives and are real people is what's important to me.
