I'm Managing Partner of Business Development and Investor Relations at Terra Axis, an impact investing and AI consulting platform with six evergreen funds. I lead all of our capital raising and investor relations alongside business development for our consulting practice, and I'm helping build out the internal infrastructure of the firm with our leadership team.

My path here wasn't linear... which is kind of the point. I've worked in innovation banking, clean energy startups, global supply chain, wealth management, social impact, and hospitality. What connected all of it was the same thing: I kept asking questions, I kept showing up curious, and when the role I wanted didn't exist, I built it.

The most notable thing I've done professionally isn't a title I was given, it's that I've created every job I've ever held. That started in college when I pitched a nonprofit an internship position they hadn't posted, and it's how I ended up as a partner at Terra Axis at 26.

I lead with curiosity. I believe real human connection is a business strategy. And I think the most powerful thing you can do — in finance or anywhere else — is show up honest and genuinely interested in the people in the room.

Q

What do you attribute your success to?

Learning from other people. More than anything else, I lead with curiosity. I ask everyone I can what their story is and what drives them. It started in college when people kept asking me what I wanted to do with my life, and I genuinely had no idea. Not just no idea what I wanted. I didn't understand what people actually did in their jobs. So I started asking. I reached out to over 500 people. When I was at RBC, I cold-messaged the president of RBC Wealth Management, and he gave me 20 minutes. Those conversations made me realize that people will give you their time if you show up genuinely curious. That's shaped everything I've done since.

Q

What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

Take the shot before you feel ready. The role might not exist yet. The experience requirement might be way out of reach. Take the shot anyway. The worst they can say is no.... and you might learn something that changes everything.

Q

What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

Be willing to be seen in your growth process. You don't have to be polished every day, being real and vulnerable is far more powerful than performing confidence you don't feel yet. Reach out to other women. Develop those relationships. That is what actually moves you forward.

Q

What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

Being young and being a woman. Those two things are apparent the moment I walk into any room, and I've had to learn not to let that shrink me. Beyond that, the pace of change right now is relentless. If you're not at the forefront of new technology and AI, you fall behind fast. But the thing that's always moved me forward is slowing down enough to actually connect with people, and right now that feels harder than ever to do well. I think the leaders who figure out how to balance constant innovation with genuine human connection are the ones who will define this next era.

Q

What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

The values most important to me are honesty, transparency, and vulnerability.
