Her Story

About Harriet

Harriet A. Stewart, Ph.D., LPC, is an accomplished author, educator, licensed professional counselor, and inspirational guide dedicated to helping women achieve greater focus, clarity, and purpose in their lives. As Owner and CEO of Marvellous Moments, LLC, she draws on decades of professional experience, educational leadership, counseling, and faith-based mentorship to help individuals overcome self-defeating thoughts, distractions, and uncertainty. Dr. Stewart earned her Ph.D. in Educational Psychology from Howard University in 1983, an achievement influenced in part by her personal experiences with her developmentally disabled sister and her commitment to supporting individuals with diverse needs.

Throughout her career, Dr. Stewart has served as a principal and worked with children who were developmentally delayed and emotionally disturbed, experiences that shaped her compassionate and purpose-driven approach to helping others. Her entrepreneurial journey began with Marvellous Moments, a collection of Scripture-based inspirational scrolls that eventually evolved into Scripture-based playing cards and, ultimately, her book Where Is Your Focus? Published a decade after she received the book's title, the work provides practical and biblical strategies for moving from confusion to clarity and developing a purpose-driven life. Today, Dr. Stewart works with small groups of women through a structured focus assessment that identifies individual strengths, opportunities for improvement, and distractions, incorporating declarations, Scripture, prayer, and practical guidance. She also works part-time encouraging and supporting young people.

Dr. Stewart's philosophy centers on partnership, personal investment, perseverance, and extending grace to oneself and others. She encourages women to take an active role in their personal growth while remaining grounded in faith, recognizing that meaningful transformation requires both reflection and action. Integrity, dependability, reliability, honesty, and peace are among the core values that guide her work and life, with a particular emphasis on maintaining peace and faith in the midst of challenges. Through her counseling background, writing, mentorship, and leadership of Marvellous Moments, Dr. Stewart continues to inspire others to refocus their minds, strengthen their confidence, and move forward with clarity, faith, and purpose.

01What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

Integrity, dependability, reliability, honesty, and peace are the values that matter most to me in both my professional and personal life. I believe that when I give my word, I should follow through and do what I say I will do. At the same time, I believe in being honest about my limitations; if I cannot help someone, I will be transparent and, whenever possible, connect them with someone who can. Above all, I value maintaining a sense of peace and perspective, especially in the midst of challenging circumstances, because remaining calm and grounded allows me to respond with clarity, integrity, and purpose.
