Dr. [Last Name] is a distinguished research scientist and academic with a deep commitment to advancing trustworthy AI, human-computer interaction, and data-driven decision-making, currently serving as Research Scientist at the College of Information Studies (INFO) at the University of Maryland, and as Research Affiliate at the Artificial Intelligence Interdisciplinary Institute at Maryland (AIM) and the Institute for Trustworthy AI in Law & Society (TRAILS). Her research focuses on the intersection of AI, society, and human-centered design. She completed her PhD in Human-Computer Interaction at Indiana University–Purdue University Indianapolis, where she also served as Graduate Research Assistant. She previously taught as Lecturer in Computer Science at California State University, Monterey Bay. She is recognized as a rigorous, collaborative, and forward-thinking researcher and educator who is deeply committed to shaping the future of AI in ways that are ethical, inclusive, and impactful.
