Her Story

About Hawraa

Hawraa Allami is the owner of Flourishing Hope ABA PLLC & Flourishing Hope Creative LLC. She is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) and Licensed Behavior Analyst (LBA) in New York State, deeply committed to helping children grow, connect, and flourish. She holds a Master of Science in Applied Behavior Analysis from Northeastern University in Boston, where she also completed an intensive behavioral practicum. Her academic foundation also includes a Bachelor of Science in Psychology with a minor in Neuroscience from the University at Buffalo. She is also a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT 200) with a specialization in integrated yoga for neurodivergent children.

With experience supporting children ages 2 to 16 across schools, homes, clinics, and hospitals, Hawraa brings a warm, individualized approach to every child she serves. Beyond traditional behavior therapy, she integrates holistic modalities that nurture the whole child. Hawraa believes that when children are given the space to explore, move, breathe, and connect with nature, they begin to shine in their own unique way. Through therapeutic yoga, sensory rich environments, and nature based learning, she has seen children find joy, calm, confidence, and a deep sense of self. These integrative practices not only complement evidence based ABA therapy, but often help unlock new pathways for communication, emotional regulation, and meaningful engagement.

Her mission is to create environments where children feel safe, seen, and inspired to flourish, where therapeutic progress is not only measurable, but deeply felt.

When she is not working with children and families, you will find Hawraa reading, hiking, spending time in nature, or creating pottery, personal passions that reflect the same values of presence, creativity, and connection she brings into her work.

Her Interview

Ten minutes with Hawraa

01What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to a deep commitment to the children and families I serve, a willingness to keep learning, and the courage to build something aligned with my values. I have been intentional about blending evidence based practice with creativity, compassion, and connection, and I believe that authenticity has allowed families to trust the work I do.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best career advice I ever received was to prioritize quality over speed. Focusing on doing the work well, ethically, and with intention creates a foundation that lasts far longer than chasing rapid growth.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

Trust your voice early. This field needs your insight, your compassion, and your leadership just as much as it needs technical skill. Learn the science well, but do not lose yourself in trying to fit into someone else’s model of success. You are allowed to build a career that reflects your values.

04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

The field is evolving toward more individualized, person centered approaches that honor strength, joy, and quality of life alongside skill acquisition. This shift creates space for innovation, integration, and collaboration. We have the opportunity to better integrate holistic practices like movement, creativity, and connection into clinical care in ways that truly support regulation and engagement. As awareness grows, families are seeking services that go beyond the minimum and prioritize the whole child.

05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

The values most important to me in both my work and personal life are integrity, compassion, presence, and intentionality. I believe in doing things thoughtfully and ethically, even when it takes more time. In my work, this means providing care that is respectful, evidence based, and centered on the individual rather than the system.

I value presence and connection, whether I am supporting a child, collaborating with a family, or spending time with loved ones. I believe meaningful growth happens when people feel seen and safe. Creativity and curiosity are also central values for me, as they allow for flexibility, joy, and deeper engagement in both life and learning. Above all, I value balance and sustainability. I strive to build a life and a practice that honors well being, boundaries, and long term impact rather than burnout or urgency.
