Hayley Yurowitz
Hayley Yurowitz is a marketing strategist and communications professional specializing in brand strategy, digital marketing, and corporate communications within the commercial real estate and professional services industries. She graduated from college during the COVID-19 pandemic, an experience that shaped her early career path and adaptability in a rapidly changing professional landscape. Following graduation, she began her career as an administrative assistant at an architecture and engineering firm before transitioning into the real estate development sector, where she spent several years building foundational marketing and communications expertise.
During her time at a large publicly traded real estate development company, Hayley played a key role in major corporate initiatives, including a comprehensive website redesign and company-wide rebranding effort. She supported digital transformation projects, social media strategy, SEO optimization, and marketing communications to strengthen brand visibility and improve audience engagement. When the company underwent internal restructuring and relocated operations from New Jersey to New York City, Hayley chose to pursue opportunities closer to her professional and personal goals, ultimately joining her current firm. She considers her career trajectory into real estate and architecture marketing to be a natural and rewarding progression.
As Marketing Manager at Jarmel Kizel Architects and Engineers, Inc., Hayley oversees all marketing operations, including brand management, marketing strategy, proposal writing, business development support, and trade show coordination. She has been instrumental in elevating the firm’s brand presence by expanding its online and social media footprint, developing culture-focused initiatives, and supporting efforts to position the firm as a top workplace in New Jersey, including pursuing NJBiz Top Places to Work recognition. Additionally, she leads the firm’s AI committee, exploring emerging technologies and software solutions to improve internal workflows and operational efficiency. Known for her collaborative leadership style, strategic mindset, and creative problem-solving, Hayley contributes across multiple areas of the business beyond traditional marketing functions.

What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to my education, mentorship, and hands-on experience. I graduated Cum Laude from the University at Albany with a bachelor’s degree in Communications and a minor in Business, which gave me a strong foundation in marketing and business strategy. I have been fortunate to learn from two key mentors—Colleen Conklin, my former Vice President of Marketing at Urban Edge, who strengthened my marketing and brand strategy skills, and Matthew Jeromel, my firm’s principal, who has provided valuable guidance in real estate and industry leadership. I also credit my success to my adaptability, curiosity, and willingness to take on new challenges that support both personal and organizational growth.
What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
I would advise young women entering this industry to never be afraid to advocate for themselves and use their voices with confidence. I work in a traditionally male-dominated field, but I believe it is important to stand firm in your ideas, trust your expertise, and speak up for what you know is right. Building strong relationships, continuing to develop your skills, and remaining confident in your value will help create opportunities for growth and long-term success.
What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Women supporting women is really important to me. I think it's important to support women and lift each other up, because I think there's also kind of a stigma around women taking each other down, and I don't think that's fully the case in most situations. Giving back and incorporating it into the workplace is something that I'm really passionate about. I'm working hard on launching our volunteer committee, running drives like collecting hygiene products for Jersey Cares, and scheduling volunteer days so that people in our firm can get out there and help give back to the communities that we serve. I also think very highly of the work we do on projects for assisted living for people with special needs, including the Friendship Circle, to make sure that those people have a safe place to go.
