Hazel G. Boado

Hazel Boado serves as Director of Aging and Adult Services at a social justice organization in Seattle, Washington. In this role, she oversees four programs that deliver healthcare and social services to adults with disabilities and older adults, with a primary focus on the Asian, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander communities. A licensed physical therapist who has been in the field since graduating from college, Hazel transitioned into management after seven years as a clinician. She previously held positions as clinical director and rehabilitation director for a hospital and skilled nursing facility within a health system. Originally from the Philippines, she has lived in the United States for 20 years. Hazel is committed to a holistic approach in healthcare that incorporates cultural and linguistic appropriateness as well as the social determinants of health to improve outcomes and quality of life for the communities she serves.
