About Heather

Heather Caligione, B.A., is a Senior Service Advisor with extensive experience in the automotive industry, specializing in customer advocacy, service advising, and long-term client relationship management. Throughout her career with Jaguar Land Rover, including her current role at Land Rover Manhattan, she has built a reputation for authenticity, transparency, and exceptional customer service. She is committed to educating clients—particularly women—so they can make informed decisions and feel confident navigating the automotive service process. Her dedication to excellence was recognized when she won the prestigious Jaguar Land Rover North America Service Advising Competition.

Before establishing herself in automotive, Heather worked in telecommunications as an operations manager and originally pursued a career in education. After overcoming personal and financial challenges, including returning to college as a parent and completing her Bachelor of Arts degree over a ten-year period, she embraced the automotive profession with determination. Inspired and mentored by her late brother, Anthony, she developed a passion for the technical aspects of the industry while continuously expanding her knowledge through lifelong learning and hands-on experience with engineers, technicians, and industry leaders.

Beyond her professional accomplishments, Heather is passionate about advocacy, education, and building meaningful relationships. She believes that honesty, integrity, and transparency create lasting trust with clients and colleagues alike. A lifelong learner, avid reader, traveler, and single mother of two, she is committed to empowering others, particularly women entering male-dominated professions. She also supports charitable organizations including the World Wildlife Fund and St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, reflecting her belief that personal success is most meaningful when paired with service to others.

Her Interview

Ten minutes with Heather

01What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to the exceptional coworkers, managers, engineers, technicians, and mentors who invested their time in teaching me both the technical and human sides of the automotive industry. Their patience encouraged my curiosity and helped me develop deep expertise. My late brother, Anthony, was especially influential—he encouraged me to enter the automotive profession when I was considering a career change, assuring me that I could learn and succeed. His confidence in me, combined with my commitment to continuous learning and hard work, laid the foundation for my career.

02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

I encourage young women to first discover what they genuinely enjoy doing and, whenever possible, build a career around that passion. If that is not immediately possible, choose work that provides financial independence while continuing to pursue the career you truly want. Use every opportunity to develop your skills, support yourself, and gradually create a path toward meaningful work that aligns with your long-term goals.

03What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

One of the greatest challenges in the automotive industry is overcoming the subtle biases that continue to exist within what remains a predominantly male-dominated profession. While significant progress has been made, many barriers stem from deeply ingrained societal expectations rather than overt discrimination, making them more difficult to recognize and address. I believe the opportunity lies in continuing to create meaningful change by encouraging greater awareness, supporting women in leadership, and fostering environments where talent, expertise, and professionalism are valued regardless of gender.

04What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

I believe honesty and truth are the foundation of every successful relationship, both professionally and personally. I strive to communicate openly, even during difficult conversations, because transparency builds trust and lasting relationships. In my work, I see my role as an advocate who supports clients throughout every stage of their ownership experience, especially when challenges arise. As a mother and professional, I also value loyalty, accountability, and maintaining relationships built on mutual trust, respect, and integrity.
