Heather Campbell, LVN, is the Founder and CEO of Milestone Patient Advocacy, a company dedicated to providing comprehensive and independent patient advocacy aimed at improving healthcare outcomes while fostering strong relationships with community healthcare partners. With a deep commitment to patient care, Heather leverages her expertise to ensure that every individual receives personalized and compassionate support throughout their healthcare journey.
Before founding Milestone Patient Advocacy, Heather served as a Clinical Intake Coordinator at JOL Healthcare, Inc., where she spent three years delivering high-quality, customized care to patients. In this role, she developed cross-functional team leadership skills and specialized knowledge in patient-focused healthcare operations, further solidifying her dedication to improving patient experiences and outcomes.
Heather earned her Vocational Nursing Certificate from Temple College Nursing and began her healthcare career as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) and pharmacy technician. Her early experiences in frontline care, combined with her formal nursing education, have shaped her patient-centered approach and commitment to advocacy. Outside of her professional work, Heather values connection, community, and collaboration in advancing healthcare initiatives.

What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to my passion for helping and caring for others. I spent four years providing compassionate care to patients in home healthcare and hospice, an experience that deepened my understanding of the challenges patients and families face. Over time, I realized I wanted to have a greater impact, which led me to become a healthcare advocate and eventually establish my own business as an independent advocate, supporting individuals in navigating the healthcare system.
What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I’ve ever received is simply to keep going. No matter the challenges or obstacles, perseverance and consistent effort have always proven to be the key to growth and success in my career.
What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
My advice to young women entering this industry is simple: don’t give up. There will be challenges and obstacles along the way, but staying determined, resilient, and focused on your goals will help you succeed and make a meaningful impact.
What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
One of the biggest challenges and opportunities in my field right now is ensuring that clients in healthcare receive the care and attention they truly need. It’s both a responsibility and an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in their lives by advocating for their well-being and navigating the complexities of the healthcare system on their behalf.
What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
The most important values to me in both my work and personal life are family and balance. I prioritize spending quality time with my loved ones and exploring the world through travel, which helps me recharge and bring my best self to my work as a healthcare advocate.
