About Heather
Heather Kirkhart is a retail leader with over a decade of experience in store management, operations, and team development across major retail organizations. She currently serves as Store Manager at Lowe's Home Improvement, a role she has held for six years. In this position, she is responsible for the overall operation and performance of a multi-million dollar retail store, driving sales, profitability, customer service, staffing, and operational standards while developing team associates. Kirkhart previously spent ten years at BI-LO, where she served as fresh area manager before becoming a store manager, and she held leadership roles at Food Lion as a customer service manager and at Piggly Wiggly Carolina as a closing manager. She is actively involved in community initiatives through her church, including support for the Oath Alliance and Call to Care foster organization in Waycross, as well as wildfire relief efforts. Kirkhart also contributes to internal company efforts as head of the Lowe's Employee Relief Fund in her district and as a member of the Women's Development Committee.

01What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
You can do it. Don't let anybody tell you you don't have a seat at the table, because you can do it. Don't let anyone tell you you're too loud, don't let anybody tell you you're too much, and don't minimize yourself, because you can do it.
