Her Story
About Heather
I started my career in the travel and hospitality industry at 19 when I joined Blue Green Timeshare. I wanted to get out of the food business and into an office field with a company where I could grow. After starting, I went to school for travel and tourism and received a certification to enhance my experience. I continued to climb up through promotions, moving from the customer service team to becoming a supervisor in 2013 in the marketing world. My most notable professional achievement is becoming fully responsible for a team that is growing. I'm the supervisor over the sampler product at Blue Green, and I'm the only one that oversees the program. There isn't another department like mine that does the proactive touchpoints with the samplers of Blue Green. I've been overseeing it for about a year and a half now. Since Hilton bought Blue Green in September of 2025, we've done a lot of merging, and I got separated from my previous role. Now I have a Blue Green sampler team along with a confirmation team for the Hilton VIP sampler, so I'm learning a whole new world. My day-to-day responsibilities include doing reporting to show my team where they stand for the month, how far away they are from their goal, giving motivation to those not having the best of days, keeping them updated on their commission structures, and continuing to give them updates on their production. I meet with a few of them here and there for quick chats, and monthly I have full-on meetings to go over their growth. My focus is on call center management, managing the team to do better and meet their goals, and maximizing the commissions they receive for the work they do.

01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to the support of my leaders, which has always been really huge. Just recently, before I moved on to this position, I had a manager and a VP that were very influential in the way that I overlooked my career. I would have to say my leaders have been the best influence on my success.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I've ever received is that there's no risk without reward. You have to take risks in order to get ahead and become comfortable in uncomfortable situations. That has definitely helped me out a lot, especially with presenting and things of that nature.
