Heather Neagle
Heather Neagle is an accomplished oncology research professional with more than a decade of experience spanning clinical care, research leadership, and nursing education. She currently serves as a Project Manager for Phase 1 Oncology Research at Levine Cancer Center, where she oversees complex early-phase clinical trials focused on advancing innovative cancer therapies. Her background as a registered nurse provides a strong clinical foundation that informs her strategic, patient-centered approach to research management.
Prior to her current role, Heather spent several years as a Clinical Research Nurse in oncology and previously held a dual role as Assistant Nurse Manager and Nurse Educator within the Carolinas HealthCare System. In these positions, she supported both patient care and staff development, demonstrating a strong ability to lead teams, educate clinicians, and maintain the highest standards of quality and compliance in fast-paced, high-acuity environments. Her experience across bedside care, education, and research allows her to effectively bridge clinical operations with research execution.
Heather holds a Master’s degree in Nursing Education from Grand Canyon University and is deeply committed to advancing oncology research through collaboration, mentorship, and operational excellence. Known for her teamwork, attention to detail, and dedication to patient outcomes, she continues to play a vital role in bringing cutting-edge cancer treatments from concept to clinical reality while supporting the professionals and patients at the heart of the work.

I attribute my success to the guidance and support of key mentors, including Dana Bell, my former manager, and Dr. Osterheld. Their mentorship has been instrumental in shaping my professional growth and helping me navigate opportunities in my career.
