About Heather

Heather Santaniello is an accomplished administrative professional with more than 26 years of experience supporting executives, coordinating operations, and managing complex administrative functions across multiple industries. She currently serves as Executive Administrative Assistant to the CEO at Holyoke Credit Union, where she provides high-level executive support, coordinates leadership and Board activities, manages meetings and documentation, and contributes to improving organizational systems and processes. Her career has also included administrative leadership roles with The Walsh Group, Massachusetts Municipal Wholesale Electric Company, Futures HealthCore and Futures Education, and Rachael’s Food Corp.

Throughout her career, Heather has demonstrated adaptability, organization, and a strong ability to manage competing priorities. One of her most significant professional accomplishments came during the COVID-19 pandemic, when she helped facilitate the transition of more than 500 employees to remote work by coordinating technology resources, Zoom access, SharePoint tools, training, and protective equipment. Her experience spans executive administration, office management, project coordination, human resources, payroll, contracts, event planning, records management, and process improvement, allowing her to quickly learn new systems and adapt to different organizational environments.

Heather approaches her work with reliability, confidence, and a commitment to continuous learning. She believes in asking questions, embracing new challenges, and viewing mistakes as opportunities to grow. Outside of her professional responsibilities, family remains an important part of her life, and she enjoys reading and has previously taught dance. 01What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to adaptability, curiosity, organization, and a willingness to learn. My career has required me to enter new industries, understand different systems quickly, ask questions, and embrace failure as an opportunity to grow.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

I have learned valuable career lessons from working alongside executives, colleagues, and teams across diverse industries. Each transition has taught me new skills, strengthened my adaptability, and helped me navigate changing environments with confidence.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

I encourage young women to ask questions, embrace failure as a learning opportunity, and never lose confidence in themselves. Be willing to learn, grow, and trust your abilities.

04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

I see technology and organizational change as both challenges and opportunities. Administrative professionals must help organizations transition to more efficient digital tools and processes, making patience, communication, and adaptability increasingly important in today’s workplace.

05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

I value family, stability, reliability, hard work, organization, confidence, and being someone others can depend on. I take pride in making meaningful contributions and creating a lasting impact, while outside of work, my family is my greatest priority. I cherish raising my triplet sons and spending quality time with my family.
