Heather Schwaiger

Heather Laake serves as an Account Executive at Telecom Insurance, a division of M&M Insurance, based in Wichita, Kansas. In this role for the past three and a half years, she focuses on acquiring new clients and servicing an existing book of business within the telecommunications industry. Her responsibilities include traveling to meet insureds and prospective clients, assessing their property, liability, and fleet risks, collaborating with underwriting teams to develop premiums, and recommending coverage adjustments during business changes such as acquisitions. Prior to entering insurance, Laake began her professional career in October 2011 at a credit union, initially as a social media marketing assistant before transitioning to business development and ultimately serving as an employer partnership specialist for 11 years. During this period, she assisted employers with employee financial health needs and supported open enrollments for health savings accounts. She earned her marketing degree from Fort Hays State University on a part-time basis while working full-time, becoming the first in her family to graduate college. Laake also holds the credential of Certified Financial Counselor through credit unions. She is known for her passion for helping others through education and finds fulfillment in guiding organizations of all sizes across the United States to manage their insurance needs effectively. Looking ahead, she aspires to a managerial role within her organization, having begun shadowing her CEO to prepare for future opportunities.
