What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to a commitment to continuous learning, strategic and analytical thinking, and a collaborative approach that prioritizes patient-centered outcomes. My ability to adapt and lead in dynamic healthcare environments has allowed me to implement innovative solutions, improve quality, and drive meaningful results
What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I’ve ever received is to focus on creating value wherever you are—whether it’s improving patient outcomes, streamlining processes, or helping a team succeed. By combining expertise, continuous learning, and collaboration, you not only achieve results but also build a reputation as someone who makes a meaningful impact.
What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
To young women entering healthcare and healthcare technology, I would say: trust your expertise, be confident in your voice, and don’t be afraid to take on leadership opportunities. Focus on building both technical knowledge and strong relationships, seek mentors who can guide you, and remember that your perspective and contributions are invaluable in shaping better patient outcomes and innovative solutions.
What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
Healthcare today faces both big challenges and exciting opportunities. Hospitals and care teams are dealing with staff shortages and burnout, while sharing patient information between different systems and keeping up with changing rules can be tricky. On top of that, cuts to Medicare funding are putting extra pressure on hospitals and limiting resources for patients who rely on government-supported care. It’s especially important to ensure our most vulnerable populations—seniors, low-income patients, and those with chronic conditions—can access the care they need. At the same time, there’s a lot of promise: new care models are helping patients get better outcomes at lower costs, technology like electronic records and telehealth is making care smarter and more connected, and programs that address social factors like housing, nutrition, and access to care are helping communities stay healthier. For those working in healthcare, finding ways to solve these problems while taking advantage of these innovations is key to improving the system for everyone.
What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
In both my work and personal life, certain values guide everything I do. Integrity and excellence drive me to make ethical decisions and deliver high-quality results, while collaboration and empathy help me connect with colleagues and understand the needs of patients. Outside of work, compassion, service, and resilience shape how I give back to my community and approach life’s challenges, while maintaining balance and wellbeing helps me stay energized and focused. Together, these values create a foundation for meaningful impact and personal fulfillment.
