Heather White, CSFS, GBDS, is an accomplished Associate Director at WTW, where she leverages her expertise in employee benefits, total rewards strategy, and organizational consulting to serve as a trusted advisor for a diverse portfolio of clients. In her role, she manages teams handling day-to-day client needs while also focusing on strategic initiatives such as renewals, budget planning, and benefits education to optimize both employee value and organizational affordability. Heather is known for her creative, out-of-the-box solutions, including financial wellness programs, PTO strategies, and gap-filler benefits, which reflect her commitment to maximizing impact for clients and employees alike.
Heather’s career spans over 27 years in the medical and benefits fields, including 15 years on the brokerage side across three different firms. Her professional journey began in medical billing and client relations, where she quickly advanced to managerial roles, overseeing nationwide immunization billing and logistics. Over time, she moved into account executive positions, ultimately achieving her current leadership role, demonstrating her ability to combine operational expertise with strategic consulting in employee benefits and wellness.
A lifelong learner, Heather holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and multiple industry certifications, including corporate wellness and self-funding in group health benefits. She is actively pursuing an MBA and working toward SEBs certification. Beyond her professional work, Heather is deeply committed to volunteerism and animal welfare, including long-term involvement with the Boys & Girls Club and the USA Clydesdale Preservation Foundation, reflecting her dedication to community service and mentorship.

What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to the guidance of mentors, especially producer Rick Chuckrow, as well as my persistent curiosity, willingness to ask questions, and a solution-focused, expansive mindset.
What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I’ve received is to stay curious and proactive: seek out mentors and peers who challenge you, continually pursue education and certifications, ask questions, keep an open mind, and look for creative solutions beyond the usual marketplace approaches.
What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
I would advise young women to pursue continuous education and certifications, take initiative to learn and grow, and surround themselves with mentors and peers who challenge them—never settle for being the smartest person in the room.
What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
The biggest challenge in my field is helping organizations provide robust benefits without causing financial strain, which can be addressed through creative benefit designs, employee education, gap-fillers, and strategic employer contribution planning. A key opportunity lies in the growing representation of women in brokerage, shifting from administrative roles to strategic partnership positions.
What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
The values most important to me in work and life are curiosity, integrity, and continuous learning, while in my personal time I enjoy reading, hiking, paddleboarding, and horseback riding.
