About Heather
Heather Young serves as Account Manager for the Southeast Division of Star Manufacturing in Tennessee. In this role since 2025, she manages all orders, returns, inventory checks, and tracking for commercial kitchen appliances throughout the southeastern United States while providing customer support and answering inquiries. Young brings extensive prior experience from a 22-year tenure at a brake factory, where she progressed from production line work to material handler, Raymond driver, warehouse cycle counter, and later roles as warehouse lead, operations administrator, supervisor, and Senior Amazon supervisor. She holds a high school diploma and certifications in tow motor operations, lean management, and 5S. Young specializes in customer relations and satisfaction, and she credits her professional drive to the importance of a job well done, instilled by her parents, along with a personal commitment to always striving for improvement and continuous learning.

01What do you attribute your success to?
I grew up with parents that always showed me the importance of a job well done. The importance of hard work. You have one job, you do it to the best of your ability with grace and honesty. Personally, I strive to do the best I can in everything that I do. I don't like going home and thinking that I could have done something better.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
Always, always believe in yourself. I have been told multiple times in my different careers when I've thought I couldn't do something or, I thought I'm not capable because I had never done it, to always give yourself the grace to learn. Continue growing, and never stop growing.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Believe in yourself and never stop growing and achieving your goals and dreams. Nothing is ever truly impossible.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
Multitasking is a true skill. It takes patience and a commitment to succeed in customer service. If you have those qualities in this position it helps tremendously.
