Q

What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to growing up with a strong moral foundation, staying true to myself, and pursuing my creativity with resiliency and drive. My journey has led me to meaningful collaborations, new opportunities like joining the board of Collective Colors, and the exciting challenge of developing both my music projects and a memoir in progress.

Q

What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

My advice to young women entering the music industry is to always stay authentic and true to yourself, even when others doubt your path—authenticity builds lasting respect. Remember, age doesn’t define opportunity; in creative fields like music, your talent and passion open doors at any stage of life.

Q

What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

One of the biggest challenges in the music industry right now is the economy, which makes it harder for many artists to find consistent opportunities. At the same time, a major opportunity is the shift in perspective around age—what was once seen as a limitation is now being embraced, proving that staying relentless to your vision truly pays off.

Q

What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

The values most important to me are optimism, vigilance, and determination—staying committed to my work while prioritizing family and personal well-being. I also value the growing recognition that age is no longer a barrier, which has opened exciting new opportunities in music that I never imagined when I first started.
