Her Interview
Ten minutes with Helen
01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to the strong example set by my mother and grandmother, who were both incredibly driven entrepreneurs. They taught me the value of hard work, resilience, and finding ways to turn ideas into reality. I’ve also been fortunate to have exceptional mentors who challenged me, believed in my potential, and encouraged me to keep growing both personally and professionally.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I’ve ever received is that not all money is good money. Early in my career, I had to let go of a difficult client, even though I was just getting started, because I realized my peace of mind and well-being were more valuable than any commission. That experience taught me the importance of setting boundaries and choosing opportunities that align with my values.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Give yourself grace to get good and grow because real estate takes time to master. Find a mentor. Keep your family first.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
Balancing work demand and ambition with parenting since I have a young child at home which has slowed my pace but I prioritize family time while they are small.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Integrity is the cornerstone because we are in a service position and I want clients to have good experiences. Compassion because everyone is going through something. Fun so I do not take myself too seriously and can enjoy life with my children.
